Icon Name Remarks
Toggle Between Legend and LayerList Switch back and forth between a legend with symbology and a layer list with active layer and visibility options.
Toggle Overview Map Add or remove the overview map from the left top corner of the map display area.
Zoom In Zoom in to the area of the map that you click or drag a box around.
Zoom Out Zoom out from the area of the map that you click or drag a box around.
Zoom to Full Extent Zoom to the full extent of the map.
Zoom to Active Layer Zoom to the full extent of the active layer.
Back to Last Extent Zoom to the previous extent.
Pan Pan the display in the direction that you drag the mouse pointer.

Pan to North, Pan to South, Pan to East, Pan to West Pan the map in one direction-north, south, east, or west.
Identify Display attribute information for the feature that you clicked.
Query Searche for features based on a query expression.
Find Find map features with an attribute value matching a string that you type.
Measure Measure distances on the map.
Set Units Set the units for the Measure tool.
Buffer Select the features of one layer that are within the specified buffer distance of selected features of another layer.
Select by Rectangle Select the group of features contained by or in contact with a rectangle you draw on the map.
Select by Line/Polygon Select the group of features contained by or in contact with a line or polygon you draw on the map.
Clear Selection Clear the selected set of features.
Hyper Link Link to chart that you clicked.
Print Print the map to your default printer.
Coordinates Display latitude and longitude by clicked point.

How to select month or year for the historical data.

Ø         Switch to Layer List from Legend in the right window by "Toggle between Legend and Layer List" in the group of tool icons.

Ø         Select month from Layer List. Select also kind of statistics (average, maximum and minimum) if the data have some statistics.

 

 

 


How to draw the hyper link chart from the GIS map.

Ø         The data points are shown by the symbol "  " if data points on GIS map link charts.

Ø         Click "Hyper Link" icon in the group of tool icons.

Ø         You can open the chart on the point when you click the data point symbol on GIS map.

 

 

 


How to measure the distance on GIS map.

Ø         Click "Measure" icon in the group of tool icons.

Ø         When line is drawn by some clicks on GIS map, the total distance along the line is shown in the upper window.

 

 


How to show the property of the data.

Ø         Click "Identify" icon in the group of tool icons.

Ø         When data point is clicked, the data property on the point is shown in lower window.
